This week, our Access students had the opportunity to go shopping at Kroger! This was a special experience because they earned the money they spent by selling concessions during Volleyball games.

When they arrived at Kroger and got off the bus, our students were divided into two groups. Each group was given a Grocery Check-Off Sheet. The students worked together to find each item by reading the aisle signs and locating the products on their lists. They also practiced comparing prices to make sure we stayed within our budget.

Each student had the opportunity to take turns pushing the buggy, finding and picking up items, and checking them off their grocery list. When it was time to check out, the students continued practicing their skills by scanning and bagging the groceries they had selected.

One of the Kroger employees who assisted them took the time to praise our students for doing such a great job and gave them stickers.

This was more than just a shopping trip, it was a hands-on learning experience that allowed our students to practice budgeting, reading, decision-making, money skills, teamwork, independence, and life skills. 🦅

We extend a special thank you to Roberta Baptist for providing some amazing treats to our faculty and staff today. It was a great way to end our homecoming week and kick off Fall Break! 💖

Tonight's game has been rescheduled for Monday, October 12, at 5:00pm.

Lauren Johnson, one of our fabulous math teachers, was selected to be in the 2026 cohort of Accomplished Teachers! 🦅

The GaLEADS Accomplished Teacher Designation (ATD)is a prestigious 5-year state honor awarded by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to educators who provide evidence of excellence in teacher leadership, continuous learning, and contribution to the profession.

A heartfelt congratulations goes out to our Raider team who smoked the competition today! 1st Team Run, 2nd Relay, 1st Raider Fitness Test, 1st CCR, 1st Rope Bridge, 1st Overall Male Division. They even beat a top 5 state team from last year. Go Eagles! 🦅

Crawford County Schools is partnering with the Crawford County Health Department for their annual school-based flu clinic this school year. This clinic gives students an opportunity to receive their annual flu vaccine at no out-of-pocket cost.

Annagrace placed 13th out of 37 in Floral Design at the Central Region Competition at Camp John Hope on September 24! She built an arrangement against some of the best young designers in the region, and we could not be prouder of her.

The Central Region Rally on September 16 was so much fun! Our FFA members heard from inspiring keynote speakers, danced, played games, hung out with our region officers, and made new friends from schools across the region. They also gave back by sanding bed slats for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, which builds beds for children who don't have one, and by donating canned food. It was an amazing day of fun, leadership, and service. We're proud of our members and can't wait for next year!
