The JROTC Robotics STEM Lab at CCMHS has received a $25,000 grant from the Georgia Foundation for Public Education to expand its STEM and leadership programs. The funding will support upgrades to robotics and drone technology, including FPV, thermal imaging, and agricultural surveying, along with a new drone training arena, a liquid resin 3D printer, and CODRONE EDU systems for one-to-one student use. CCMHS Army Instructor, SFC(R) Tom O'Brien, says the initiative aims to increase enrollment by 10 to 12 percent over two years and help more students pursue STEM-based ROTC or military academy opportunities.
